Current Needs

A deployed E-4 Army National Guard Service Member is emailing us from Afghanistan asking if we can help his family of six in Texas with their recently broken heating and air conditioning unit. The Service Member has no way of helping his family with this crisis due to his deployment. He is afraid that with the cold winter weather, his family will not have a heater to turn on for the small children in the home to keep warm. Please help this service member care for his family while he is fighting for our country.

A deployed service member's family in the San Antonio area is in need of emergency financial assistance. The service member is now deployed for the third time and the family left behind has experienced a variety of financial hardships. This family's home is currently in the process of foreclosure due to the family’s inability to sell the house over the last 10 months. This military family is requesting help with moving assistance into their apartment following their home foreclosure and help with their utilities so they are not denied utility services in their new apartment.

As deployments to the war zone continue from bases across the country, thousands of service members are leaving their families back at home. For many of those families, a sudden car problem, roof leak or unreliable heater can cause financial hardship. In addition, our wounded warriors are struggling with disability claims processing, income changes, coping with their injuries and often a transition back into civilian life.
