Royal Oaks Country Club
Royal Oak Country Club (ROCC), located in Vancouver Washington, has been a longtime supporter of our military and their families. Our active membership includes veterans from all military branches some of whom have served in conflicts dating back to World War II. ROCC understands that when a soldier goes to war their family goes to war; when a soldier goes to war their friends and neighbors go to war; and when a soldier returns from war a new battle begins as they adjust back to civilian life. For these reasons ROCC started the Turkey Shoot-out Golf Tournament and Fund Raising event with the goal of raising money to support military families who reside in Washington and Oregon. Over the past 5 years through the generous support of our membership and sponsors, ROCC has donated over $100,000 to Operation Homefront, our partner chosen to ensure these funds reach military families in need. Operation Homefront has been an excellent partner identifying and lending a helping hand to over 200 local area military families just with the funds donated by ROCC. Don Thacker, ROCC President stated “ As we go about our daily lives surrounded by friends and families, it’s important to take a moment to think about our soldiers, both present and past, who have provided the freedoms we enjoy. ROCC members take pride in knowing that we’re giving something back to those who gave and continue to give so much to our country and ask so little in return.
