To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all that Operation Homefront has done for me and my family. When we first heard of this organization, honestly, I didn't think OH would be able to help our family. But, the day we got the news from Gracie, I was, literally, overcome with emotion! I couldn't believe that it was true! I had lost some faith in the "American people" over the last several years...living in Fort Worth really opened my eyes. Not everyone appreciates our military men and women...and what they stand for. Our living up in that region of Texas shocked me. I have been raised to respect the military, and be thankful for all the freedoms they have afforded me...my dad is retired Army, and almost every male member of my family has served. (Uncles,cousins, and brothers). I am very proud to have married my husband, William. After he returned from deployment, he has been a very different man. I know he is still there in spirit...but he is hurting, in his heart and within his memories. I know he is going through a lot right now...has been for months and months. And with that being said, I will still be by his side and support his decision to stay in the US Army. I will be right there to help him...on his long road to recovery. I must say, the donor that made this possible for us, has touched my heart so deeply. As I write this letter..I feel so overwhelmed with emotion. Bank of America and the other donors...have really helped to soften my heart! It shows me that there is still love and compassion in this world...for those who need help and healing. Our military service members and their families, truly salute you! You are the reason I feel that God is helping us on our road to recovery...all the donors should feel proud to be a part of such an awesome organization! Thank you for allowing us to feel appreciated.
One last thought...even though, we were only in the village a short time period...this feeling will be with me ...for the rest of my life.
