Service member was already trying to get back on his feet when tragedy struck. His former wife and mother of his two daughters passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. The loss of girl's mother has been difficult for everyone. The girls are struggling with the loss at such delicate ages, they have changed living conditions as they are now cared for by their father, and Chrystal's parents are left with a financial strain they weren't expecting - a funeral for their 30 year old daughter. Although our Service Member has served his country he does not have veteran status and cannot reach out to many of you for assistance. He is working with his county agencies and he is getting on his feet once again. Fundraiser Chrystal M. Due to the extenuating circumstances of this military family, our granting committee has approved assistance. We are currently seeking support to provide aid to this family.

While deployed last year in Afghanistan an earthquake hit the where he lived causing structural damage to the home. The amount of damages are very extensive, and unfortunately he does not have the source of income to fix the damage done. If you can help with this need please contact the Ohio Chapter.

Cash or check donations are needed to help support our troops. Military families recently returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are met with economic hardships and sometimes can't pay car or insurance payments. Soldiers can face issues with timing upon returning home to work, and some are unable to work because of being wounded. These grants allow them to live with the dignity and respect that they deserve so that they are able to pay bills and have funds to feed themselves and their families.
