Fun Yard & Breakfast Meeting

Fun Yard & Breakfast Meeting

Last week, in the heat of the desert summer, a group of attendees from the Healthcare Convention and Exhibitor Association's (HCEA) Annual Meeting came out to Henderson to show their support and appreciation to America's heroes. The HCEA volunteers began by giving the VFW Post 3848 a face-lift. A fresh coat of paint transformed the time worn building into a bright and welcoming building. Following the VFW Face-Lift, the volunteers coordinated with Operation Homefront Nevada to build planter boxes and large swing-sets for several deserving military families at a local park in Henderson. The Families were treated to a delicious picnic lunch, and many of the family members had a great time helping with the construction project at hand.

Thank you HCEA for your thoughtful donations, and all of your hard work to show appreciation to our country's heroes. Your donation will make sure that our service men and women have a place they can be proud of to meet, share, educate or even turn to in a time of circumstance in our community. Thank you for the love and kindness you gave to our military members while in town last week. It is people like all of you who make a service member's sacrifice so rewarding.

Note : Each year, the Healthcare Convention and Exhibitor Association holds an annual meeting, during which the HCEA conducts a philanthropic project. Last year, the association helped someone in New Orleans save their home, which was on the verge of being forclosed on.
