Big Thank You to Centennial Hills Rotary Cub!
We at Operation Homefront Nevada would like to thank the Centennial Hills Rotary Club for their generous gift of $4000.00. Their commitment to helping military families in our community is sincerely appreciated. The Centennial Hills Rotary Club generously hosted their Annual Centennial Hills Rotary Golf Tournament in honor of raising funds to benefit Operation Homefront Nevada as well as Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. The gift of $4000.00 was given to each organization this year, not bad for just their second tourney ever! President Hobie Hellerstein said, "We are so proud to be able to raise this kind of money and keep it in our local community to see people we personally know be helped or affected positively through our efforts of giving back, it's just a great feeling".
The support and generosity of the Centennial Hills Rotary Club is helping our chapter continue to advance its mission of taking care of our families of deployed service men and women in our community. Through many of our programs, such as the rental assistance, we have seen many lives changed for the better. By being there to aid in a time of distess, our service men and women can have peace of mind that their families are taken care of on the homefront while they fight for our freedoms. The goal of Operation Homefront Nevada is to continue to make a difference in the lives of our troops and their families as the battle rages on. With the help of donations from supporters such as the Centennial Hills Rotary Club, we will continue to see this goal through to the end.
As our Chapter President, Carl Long, so perfectly put it, "the Annual Centennial Hills Rotary Golf Tournament was impressive!". As Carl described the way the event was so organized as well as so much fun and topping it off with how much money was raised for two well deserving organizations, it's easy to understand why he summed it up with one word "Impressive".
Thank you again Centennial Hills Rotary Club for your generous support of our efforts to provide comfort and peace of mind to our military families.
