Transition Period Has Been Difficult
$3,133 Still Needed
Recently medically retired as a result of the long term impact of the injuries he sustained during his deployment to Iraq, this soldier and his family recently had to transfer back to the states from overseas. He is currently in the transitional period and waiting on retirement and his VA ratings, so the family has had to use all of their savings to sustain themselves. With your help, we can assist through this transitional period by assisting with housing and utilities.
Taken Advantage Of By Contractor
$1,337 Still Needed
This wounded Iraq war veteran became a victim of an unscrupulous contractor who he hired to repair storm damage to his home. While he pursues his options, the loss of funds and need to make critical repairs has put the family in a financial crisis with respect to many of their other bills. With your help, we can assist with the urgent needs of the family.
Wounded Warrior Needs Home Safety Updates
$4,500 Still Needed
An Army veteran, injured in Iraq, who has helped build wheelchair ramps for other injured veterans, is now in need himself. Due to issues with his injuries, he’s having trouble getting up and down the stairs in his two-story home and is in danger of hurting himself further. He needs a chair lift installed and can’t afford the cost. Please help make home a safe haven for this generous soldier.
Major Surgery Impacts Marine Family
$1,000 Still Needed
Temporarily medically retired from the Marine Corps for his injuries, this Marine had to have major surgery which resulted in months of missed work. He used sick time and personal time off to cover, along with savings, but both have run out and he is not cleared to return to work for more than a month. In the meantime, his family is at risk of losing their home and having the lights turned off. Help us get them through this uncertain time by giving them the peace of mind that they will be okay until he is back on his feet.
Many military families have faced eviction or foreclosure due to unexpected changes that affect their finances. Transitioning wounded service members may see a pay decrease once their military pay stops and their disability benefits begin. Help families keep a roof over their heads.
Pay The Electric Bill of a Military Family
Your donation of just $200 could provide power for a month to a military family in need or ensure that power is kept on for wounded warriors who need medical equipment for survival.
Help Feed A Military Family
We assist struggling military families by providing food boxes, grocery gift certificates, or vouchers to the commissary. Each family is provided enough food for a week while case workers help them find long-term solutions. Your $20 gift can give a hot meal to a military family.
Help A Warrior Transition To Civilian Life
Our young returning veterans are at risk of becoming homeless if they don't get help transitioning to civilian life. We offer free housing for wounded service members and their families to live during the transition process. These families get extra help to prepare and move to a place of their own.
Help Keep Essential Vehicle Rolling
Getting around is hard when your car is being repaired, but imagine trying to get around with a significant injury and add 2-3 medical appointments a day. Some wounded service members do not have enough money to fix their vehicles. Your donations can help heroes with much-needed repairs.
Provide Comfort For Military Family
What happens when a military spouse turns on the water to bathe a child and finds no hot water? The repair might have been feasible when their service member was home but due to deployment or injury recovery that is no longer possible. You can help make a difference.
Send a Caregiver To A Retreat
Caregivers are essential to the successful recovery of our heroes wounded in combat. But they need to get away, connect with others in their unique situation and rejuvenate.
