Operation Homefront Brings Mobile Homes to Ten Military Families Who Lost All Due to Katrina

Santa Ana, CA - In furthering its mission to assist military families in need, Operation Homefront has made ten mobile homes available to military families in the Gulfport, Mississippi area.

Navy Seabee John Rench will be first among those receiving a home.  Having lost everything and exhausting all other government and private sector resources, Rench will accept delivery of his mobile home even as the ruins of his former residence still remain.

Eight homes have been allocated thus far and are scheduled for delivery beginning February 15.  Homes are allocated based on need and completion of an assessment application.

The homes have been made available thanks to a donation from Mid-Atlantic Military Family Communities, LLC, a partnership between the United States Navy and Lincoln Property Company. "We are grateful to Lincoln Housing for partnering with us on this important endeavor," said Operation Homefront VP of Operations, Amy Palmer. "So many military families are still suffering homelessness in the aftermath of Katrina. With this generous donation, ten families will at long last have permanent shelter."

Operation Homefront is a tax-exempt 501 c (3) organization headquartered at 1631 Sunflower, Suite C-34, Santa Ana, CA.  For inquiries or to apply for a mobile home, the public may call (714) 444-0075 or visit www.operationhomefront.net
