Operation Homefront and Chase Donate Home to Army Vet Expecting Twins
Operation Homefront and our good friends at
Chase were pleased to provide Army Sergeant Daniel Forester with the keys to his new home. As part of the Homes on the Homefron
t program, Forester will be able to move closer to family and get ready to welcome twins that his wife is expecting soon.
Read the rest of Daniel's story:Daniel Forester grew up in a small town in Cumberland, KY and while many of his friends joined the Marine Corps shortly after high school, Daniel decided to serve a different way, becoming a police officer. Between his time in law enforcement and his friends in the military, Daniel developed a major appreciation for the duty to the country performed by the military. After six years in law enforcement he joined the Army in September of 2007.
After graduating basic training, he was stationed on Ft. Carson, CO and was eventually deployed to Afghanistan. His primary duties in Afghanistan consisted of driving for a Command Sergeant Major and a Lieutenant Colonel. During his time in Afghanistan, he suffered a foot injury that eventually led to a medical retirement from the Army. He received numerous awards in his time in Afghanistan, but the one that he is most proud of receiving was a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Shortly after his return from Afghanistan, he and his wife Amber were married and they just recently found that in a few months they will be having twins. They are currently living with Amber’s parents, and Amber works in Tucson, AZ.
With the help of Operation Homefront and Chase, Daniel, Amber and their little ones on the way will have a place close to family to call home. Daniel says that the timing couldn’t have been better for the new home.
“It is an incredible blessing for us to be able to have a place to call home and raise a family,” said Daniel, “especially with the twins on the way. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for the help from Operation Homefront and Chase.”
