Ziegenfelder's Budget $aver Twin Pops Donates More Than $23,000 to Operation Homefront
Some welcomed financial support for the families of US service members and wounded warriors was received by Operation Homefront. The Ziegenfelder Company located in Wheeling, WV has developed a product and connected its national sales campaign to the opportunity to donate to Operation Homefront. The donation, based on a percentage of sales of Ziegenfelder's popular Budget $aver Red, White & Berry Blast Pops has grown by nearly 100% since the first donation presented in 2009. Ziegenfelder officials were on hand to present the check to Operation Homefront during a ceremony at the Operation Homefront Village in San Antonio, Texas, a transitional housing complex for wounded service members and their families. Vice President, Barry Allen and Marketing Director, Brian Smith were on hand to present a check in the amount of $23,188.80 to Operation Homefront’s Chief Operations Offiicer, Amy Palmer and a host of military families and well-wishers.
