Chase and Operation Homefront Present Home to Wounded Warrior

Chase and Operation Homefront were excited to present a mortgage-free home to Army Sergeant Stephen Forbes and his family in Jackson, CA. The Forbes' family received the home as part of our Homes on the Homefront program.

Read about about Sgt. Forbes:
Growing up around the city of Denver, CO, Stephen Forbes had always wanted to serve his country. When one of his friends was killed in Iraq, he knew exactly what he had to do, and enlisted in the Army. This was fulfilling a lifelong mission for Stephen, but little did he know how much his life was actually going to change in the Army.

After signing up in 2005, serving stints in both Ft. Lewis and Ft. Drum here in the United States, Forbes was deployed to Iraq. While deployed, he served as an Indirect Fire Infantryman (Mortarman). During that 2006 deployment, Stephen suffered multiple injuries and was eventually medically separated from the Army.

After his discharge, finding a permanent home to raise his family of three sons and one daughter with his wife, Nichole, was proving to be difficult. This is when he got involved with Operation Homefront and found out about their ‘Homes on the Homefront’ campaign. Through the program, Stephen applied, and was selected for a mortgage-free home close to family in Jackson, CA.

“The new home gives us endless opportunities,” said Stephen. “One of the biggest hurdles for us to overcome for the future was getting a home and words can’t express how grateful we are.”

This new home will give Stephen and his family the foundation they need to grow as a family. Stephen is looking forward to going back to school to continue his mission of being there for his family.
