KISS and Motley Crue Donate to Operation Homefront
Before kicking off the Nashville show on their behemoth
of a summer tour, rock legends KISS and Motley Crue donated $50,000 to
Operation Homefront in support of their mission. Known of their larger than life concerts
and wild antics off the stage, they also wanted to show their gratitude
for the servicemen and women who risk their lives every day for the freedoms
we have at home.
This also being Nashville, TN, of course country music
superstar Tim McGraw was in attendance and accepted the money on behalf of
Operation Homefront. Tim has been
working with Operation Homefront this past summer as part of the Homes on the Homefront campaign, where he was able to give away a home to a deserving veteran at
each one of his tour stops.
KISS frontman, the Starchild himself, Paul Stanely, had this to say about the
event:
"The freedom we all enjoy and may take for granted
is only made possible by the brave servicemen and women who chose to put
themselves in harm's way to protect this great country. Tim's work for
Operation Homefront with ACM Lifting Lives is a great example of how those in
our position can show our appreciation while also urging all Americans to
contribute on whatever level they can and KISS is proud to support this worthy
cause."
