Raytheon Treats Wounded Warrior Families to BBQ and Pumpkin Painting
Operation Homefront and Raytheon recognized more than 27 families during an appreciation dinner for wounded warriors and their families at Operation Homefront Village in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 19.
Raytheon, a major American defense contractor and industrial corporation, sponsored a party at the Village for all residents. Raytheon employees, as well as many members of the senior leadership team, came together to serve a Texas-style barbeque meal to the service members and their families along with pumpkin painting for their kids. The evening was filled with great conversation and fun among all of those who attended. Each family was also given a $100.00 gift card from Raytheon as a special thank you for the sacrifices they have made and still make each and every day.
“We feel so appreciated and really enjoyed getting to know the employees from Raytheon. They were so friendly and down to earth and we felt as though they really cared about us.” said Talia Strauch, wife of Army Cpl. Peter Strauch.
