Indiana Pacer's Roy Hibbert Shows Support for Operation Homefront

Basketball star Roy Hibbert, who currently plays for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers and played college ball at Georgetown University, has become an active supporter of Operation Homefront.

In Indiana, Hibbert helped local military families last Christmas by joining in giving away holiday turkeys. He also helped Operation Homefront Indiana host a video game competition for military kids at the Indianapolis YMCA.  Young people of all ages took a break from the stresses of having a parent in the military by going one-on-one against Hibbert at their favorite video games.

Most recently, Roy returned to his hometown outside Washington DC where he recorded a national Public Service Announcement promoting Operation Homefront. While there, he played some hoops with wounded warriors and their families who reside at our Operation Homefront Villages. At our Operation Homefront Villages nationwide, wounded warriors and their families receive free housing to help them transition to civilian life while rehabilitating from the wounds of war at nearby military hospitals.

Special thanks to Hibbert for supporting military families!
