Walmart Honors Veterans With $2 Million Donation To Help Military Families

Walmart joined us and called for a nationwide salute to military families by offering Americans the chance to give back this past holiday season.  You too can still join us in the salute, please consider making an online donation at http://give.operationhomefront.net/holidaysalute.

Thanks to Walmart’s generous holiday contribution to benefit military families announced on Veterans Day, Operation Homefront was able to more than double the reach for two of its cornerstone holiday programs:

Holiday Toy Drive: Through Walmart's donation, more than 25,000 toys were purchased for our Holiday Toy Drive which provided toys and gifts to military children.

Holiday Meals for Military: Operation Homefront was able to provide more than 17,000 meals to military families through our Holiday Meals for Military program, thanks to Walmart's generosity.

In addition, through a very special Home for the Holidays event, Walmart flew more than 500 service members to celebrate the holidays with their families and friends in late December and early January.
