Dollar Tree To Team Up With Operation Homefront For Another Year
Many military families struggle with the financial stress of preparing their children for the new school year. In an attempt to help alleviate this stress, Dollar Tree has partnered with Operation Homefront for another year to give backpacks full of school supplies to local military children in need during our Back-To-School Brigade. It can get costly when trying to outfit one, let alone multiple children for a new school year. Today, 33% of military children are between ages of 6 and 11 and 25% are between the ages of 12 and 18. This August, Operation Homefront - Central Great Lakes will be distributing backpacks to local military children throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Last year, Operation Homefront distributed nearly 45,000 backpacks and close to 4.7 million school supplies nationwide.
