Tim McGraw Teams up with Chase and Operation Homefront For Another Year
Tim McGraw has teamed up with Chase and Operation Homefront again this year to give mortgage-free homes to veterans in need at each stop on his Sundown Heaven Town tour. The program is called HomeFront. It's Tim's way of giving back to those who have served the U.S.
For the kickoff night of his summer tour, Tim met with U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Bryn Bruno and his wife Kimber (pictured, to the right of Tim). Tim greeted the couple, invited them backstage and honored them during his concert.
Learn more about Bryn Bruno:
Bryn Bruno was born and raised in Clovis, Calif., and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2002 after the national tragedy on September 11.
As a Lance Corporal, Bryn worked as a machine gunner. He served two tours in Iraq and was deployed in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, Bryn was wounded and suffered injuries to the brain and spine. As a result, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Bryn and his wife Kimber have been married since 2004. They have two daughters, Skylar (8) and Kaya (6). Skylar is a competitive boxer and Kaya enjoys dancing. The Bruno’s currently live in Porterville, Calif., where they have been renting an apartment, making their current living situation limited and uncomfortable.
A couple of months ago, Bryn learned that he was being awarded a mortgage-free home in Bakersfield, Calif., thanks to Operation Homefront and Chase. The home is awarded through our Homes on the Homefront program.
