Providing a CONNECTION with your Donations
CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Having your family budget stretched beyond imagination… and then encountering that one new additional problem – like having your car break down?
Your outlook – your life – changing 180 degrees – overnight?
In the days that follow, putting other priorities off as best you can – while trying to find a way out of the problem?
Exhausting all explorations for a solution, then swallowing your pride – and turning to others for help – only to find that none is available? Feeling completely overwhelmed and alone – with no hope in sight?
NOW, CAN YOU IMAGINE enduring this experience – as a spouse of a service member – who is deployed on active duty – or whose wounded warrior’s special care needs have already consumed all available resources?
The needs of our US active duty military families under stress continue. We request you again consider Operation Homefront when giving to charitable causes at year’s end. And now, through Operation Homefront CONNECTION (CONNECTION), there is an additional need that your donation may help address.
When a military family of a deployed or wounded warrior is unable to overcome a problem, too often the circumstances leave them feeling completely isolated. Hearing “thanks” is not enough to lessen these feelings of isolation. To help alleviate these feelings, this year we’re offering CONNECTION– a new means by which your donation can go a step further beyond thank you.
With CONNECTION, members of the community give military families under stress special strength through inspiration. By sharing the name – and possibly the unique story and picture – of another service member or military family, CONNECTION strives to help military families understand that, not only are they not alone, but that in a unique, personal manner, they may see that other military families have also dealt with hardship and grief and that there is a special appreciation for their continued support and contribution to our nation’s security.
