Money Woes Eased by Grocery Gift Cards
A Metro area Sergeant and his family of four has had a rough year. Earlier this year, they mourned the death of their six month old son. After the death, it was difficult for them to remain in that home so they prepared to move.
Moves are always difficult but the family knew it would ease the mental anguish and be closer to work for the Sergeant. They soon discovered it would also mean a decrease in housing allowance. In addition to the overall cost of moving and the numerous deposits, the family funds ran short before months end.
After applying for assistance the DC Metro Chapter was able to offer gift cards to get them by.
