DRS in partnership with Operation Homefront DC Metro has partnered with the SPAWAR Internet Café network to provide low cost phone calls from their 500+ cafes in Afghanistan and the Middle East. No need to mail a calling card since their network makes use of virtual Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) to efficiently distribute and use the call credits. Through this network, our troops have access to over 2,000 phones at main bases and remote locations, and they can call home to the USA and its territories, and to landlines in Germany and Italy, for just $.04/minute. In other parts of the world, SPAWAR PINs can be used to connect calls originating on the Defense Switched Network (DSN) to friends and loved ones for authorized morale support calls.
Simply purchase the PINs in the desired denomination from the online web page ( www.spawarcafes.net/partner/oh) and select “Send PINs to my email address” from the pull-down Recipient list and they will be sent to you for you to forward on to your friends and loved ones. You also have the option to select “Operation Homefront DC Metro” as the Recipient and the PINs will be sent directly to us. We will distribute them to our troops and their families as the needs arise and you will receive a receipt from us for your donation.
