People like you ask us every day how to show their appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices made by military families.
One way you can do this is to let the DC Metro Chapter fill the gap for military families as they adjust to the ‘new normal’ after being deployed or wounded in combat. Always on call to help a family in need, just in the last week alone the DC Metro Chapter helped build a ramp for a wounded warrior Christmas homecoming, paid utility bills to keep the lights on for Christmas, distributed toys and pies to more than 10,000 military families, matched more than 70 families with sponsors for the holidays and stepped in to pay unexpected travel expenses (just to name some of the cases keeping us busy.)
