Family was given orders to PCS, but then received word that he needed to arrive earlier. The family packed up and left. They stayed in hotels and unfortunately, the current relocation policy would only cover 10 days, but they were in a hotel for over 14 days. Even though the cost was covered upfront they ended up having to pay for the additional days themselves. This on top of the fact that there wasn't a place for them to live when they arrived only exasperated the situation. The overuse was being taken out of his paycheck cause the family financal stress. They have now paid it off, but really need help with daily living costs - high on the list is food assistance that is needed until they can get back on their feet.
