Homefront has
many different programs we offer to our families in need. Each program
has unique eligibility
requirements and supporting documentation needed to process the claim.
Target
Population: We serve younger families of deployed service
members, typically in the ranks of E-1 through E-6, in all services
of the armed forces,
including Reserves and National Guardsmen.
Needs
Assessment: Our programs were developed based
on research of the needs of the target population. We have
been sensitive to integrate programs alongside those being offered
by other agencies.
We strive
to achieve the largest impact with the least amount of expended
resources. We continuously monitor our programs, liaison
with other relief agencies, and measure our success in affecting
the quality of life of military families. In many cases, specific
needs are validated by the Military Chaplain Corps, military
relief organizations, and key volunteers and Operation Homefront staff.
Services:
Operation Homefront operates
programs with the goal of making a difference in military family quality
of life. In general, services fill a just-in-time urgent need,
and are designed to give a helping hand up to get over the "Murphy's
Law" of deployments, when the need arises when the spouse is gone.
Many times something new arises and our flexibility allows us to react
on a case-by-case bases.
