"In 2006, my husband and I were stationed in San Diego and I saw a news story for a group that was supplying backpacks to school children in our area. I was so moved by such a group and I contacted the Southern CA chapter of Operation Homefront. It's been four amazing years! When my family and I moved to the Las Vegas area, one of the first things I did was get in touch with the local Nevada chapter. Backpacks, Easter baskets, holiday programs, emergency food and financial assistance, vehicle donations...I've seen it all! At times, it is heart-wrenching work but at the end of the day, I can be proud that I have worked hard to improve the life of someone that humbly sacrifices so much! -Naomi Rosen, Volunteer"
